Things to do in Seaside, Florida: Part 2- eating, shopping, biking

by Christine · 11 Comments

Perspicasity is a lovely beachside bazaar, full of 5 million things I want to put in my house.

There were also lots of lovely dresses…and shirts…and skirts…and headbands…and…and…and…

Melissa and I visited, several times.

We also ate shrimp and grits beach side at Bud & Alley’s. Yummy.

The city center is quaint and quite wonderful with a bookstore, grocery, small shops, and these Airstreams.

(Please forgive the random switching from day to night photos)

Doesn’t this place want to make you jump up and hula?

A nice shot down the set of Airstreams.  This one has sweet cupcakes.

See.

A Keylime one and inside is a chocolate and peanut butter.  Double yummy.

Saturday morning brought the hustle and bustle of a Farmer’s Market.  These new friends are omelet makers by day and improv actors by night.

And the omlets are yummy… I mean…triple yummy

We also had oatmeal from Raw & Juicy. You. Must. Eat. This.

A whipped up combo of raw oatmeal, fresh granola, bananas, apples and almond milk.

This is yummy…4 yummies now.

Our meal was followed by fresh chocolate milk from this lady.

5 yummies.

Maybe this should count as more than 1 yummy.

6 yummies.

After loading up on homemade soap, jam and tea from the Farmer’s Market, we rented bikes and went exploring.

Mom and I rode tandem for awhile.

The basket pretty much makes my day.

Each house is unique and yet, the whole town is completely unified.

I love this place.

:)

I heart Seaside! The best time to go is the week after Labor Day – they usually have a fabulous neighborhood yard sale right out in the middle of that main park area. I once came back with a vintage table strapped to the top of our SUV!
